“Time only exists when we experience its effects.”
AUGMENTING
A LANDMARK
In October 2022, we were invited by the Austrian Klanglicht arts festival to transform the Uhrturm—a medieval clock tower and iconic city landmark—into an immersive light sculpture. Fine details of the projections could be explored up close at the top of Graz’s castle hill, while the installation remained visible from afar. With our hand-crafted, high-resolution video animations, we embraced concepts of Gestalt, flow and depth to create monochromatic illusions that captured the imagination of thousands of visitors over the course of three nights.
CRAFTING
LAYERS
OF SOUND
Believing that the intricate fusion of sound and light forms the foundation of an immersive experience, we invited our long-time collaborator Markus 'Seismo' Graf to compose a unique score. Markus incorporated recordings of the tower's iconic clockwork and bells, enriching the composition with authentic sounds familiar to the local audience. The dramaturgy also integrated the tower's real-time chimes, aligning the installation with its historic rhythms.
